Step 4:
Adding a battery instead of adding more PV for less than 25 % Sunlight days, is another option to add another day to the power available and even filter out a few mixed sunlight days. Although looking at the Global Solar Context, the estimated 45 days per year can sometimes be a week or two of continuous low sunlight.

This makes it a prime location for solar investment—especially with Eskom’s trajectory.
