Because of our knowledge and experience with the critical role of temperature in all electrical system designs, here are some AOE parameters we use as basic principles to reduce temperatures and lower fire risks in Single phase Inverter system design for longevity in Johannesburg ZAR.
Max kW Derate to %:
Growat-6kW-derate to 80%
Luxpower -6kW- derate to 80%
Victron Multi RS -6kW- derate to 75%
Solaredge Hybrid - 10kW- derate to 90%
Sigenergy Hybrid -15kW - derate to 90%
Rated nominal PV Voltage and total PV strings Amps:
Growatt - 6kW- 320 V & 32 A
Luxpower -6kW- 320 V & 34 A
Victron Multi RS -6kW- 320 V & 36 A
Solaredge Hybrid - 10kW- 380 V & 21 A
Sigenergy Hybrid -15kW - 600 V & 48 A
Battery Voltage & Amps:
Growatt- 6kW- 52 V & 115 A
Luxpower- 6kW 52 V & 115 A
Victron Multi RS -6kW 52 V & 115 A
Solaredge 10 kW - 400 V 21 A
Sigenergy 15kW- 900 Volts 53 Amps
Off grid compatibilty:
Growatt, Luxpower, Vicron Multi RS inverter systems are suitable for Off Grid.
Solaredge Inverter systems are not suitable, because when the Inverter trips for whatever reason, it will not come online with Solar power, it needs the Grid or generator to reset. Solaredge also upgrades software regularly and then it trips for a few seconds, but needs Grid to come online again.
Sigenergy Hybrid Inverters are suitable for Off Grid and will come online with Solar Power, if the battery was depleted for some reason.
Take note of the high battery amps for a 6kW 52 Volt system. It is for that reason that AOE do not include 52 Volt systems bigger than 6kW in our designs for Solar clients.
Next we will look at Tesla Powerwall 3.
